GAF is seeking a Director of EHS Operations to lead world-class safety programs across manufacturing facilities and operations. The role directs strategy, governance, and execution of safety initiatives, reporting to the VP of Environmental, Health and Safety, and supporting EHS staff company-wide.

The position demands a proactive, metrics-driven leader who can drive behavior-based safety, ensure compliance, and mentor teams while traveling up to 50% of the time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering or related field.
• 10 years EHS experience, 5 years in management.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute an EHS strategy aligned with business goals.
• Drive a proactive safety culture with zero-incident mindset.
• Lead enterprise EHS risk assessment and governance of programs.
• Oversee EHS management systems, data analytics and action closure.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and governance across sites.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Mentor EHS professionals and leadership across sites.
• Travel up to 50% for domestic locations.
