Job summary

Stride, Inc. seeks a part-time STAGES Sign Language Interpreter (contractor) to support D/HH students in a virtual academic setting. The role requires ASL fluency, certification, and the ability to interpret across live lessons and activities within IEP guidelines.

You will work remotely, maintain a professional home office, and collaborate with teachers and service providers to ensure access to instruction and active participation in school activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience interpreting in an educational setting.
• Minimum 1 year experience providing interpreting services virtually.
• Certifications/licensure as National Interpreter or state level.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and transliterate live, synchronous virtual academic content.
• Collaborate with teachers, caregivers and related service providers per IEPs.
• Attend IEP meetings and support students identified as D/HH.
• Provide expressive and voice interpretation for classroom instruction.
• Maintain professional standards per NAD Ethics and stay organized.
