Job summary

GeBBS Healthcare Solutions is seeking a remote Outpatient Facility Emergency Department Coder (temp, part-time) with 3+ years of ED coding experience. The role requires AHIMA or AAPC credentials and proficiency in ICD-10-CM, UHDDS, and CPT-4 per client guidelines.

Work will be performed remotely, with production expectations of at least 12 CPH and adherence to GeBBS policies. Hours are 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Pacific time, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• AHIMA RHIT, RHIA or CCS credentials required; AAPC considered.
• Minimum of 3 years recent Facility Emergency Department coding experience.
• Principles of ICD-10 outpatient coding.
• Maintains accuracy of diagnosis code assignment per GeBBS policies.
• Maintains productivity per client and GeBBS policies.
• Communicates professionally per GeBBS policies.
• Working hours 6a–6:30p Pacific time, Mon–Fri.
• This is a part-time temp position.

Responsibilities

• Code all ED conditions per ICD-10-CM, UHDDS, and CPT-4 according to client specs.
• Keep current on GeBBS and client coding policies and changes.
• Discuss unclear information with supervisor or data quality specialist.
• Operate 3M Encoder and EPIC EMR system.
• Maintain minimum production of 12 CPH.
• Monitor regulatory changes and report to supervisor.
