Job summary

Jobrapido is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Coder with strong Outpatient and Emergency Department (ED) coding experience. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of outpatient coding experience, including experience coding in an emergency room setting.

This remote contract role runs for 8 weeks with 35-hour weeks, paid at $35/hr on a W2 basis. The position requires CCS/ CCP AHIMA RHIT certification, ICD-10/ICD-9-CM, CPT-4 proficiency, and acute care coding experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 - 5 years of outpatient medical coding experience.
• Emergency Room/ED coding experience required.
• Acute care coding experience.
• Proficiency with 3M Coding Application.
• Knowledge of HDS Coding Application.
• Knowledge of ICD-10, ICD-9-CM and CPT-4.
• Strong understanding of coding, payer, and federal billing guidelines.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to research and resolve coding issues.
• English proficiency required.
