Qualifications

• Must be certified through AAPC (CPC/COC) or AHIMA (CCS/CCS-P).
• At least 6 months of on-the-job coding experience.
• Proficient with EMR and billing systems and current coding references.

Responsibilities

• Provide CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10-CM coding for multiple specialties.
• Code surgical procedures in ER settings to capture revenue.
• Apply diagnosis/procedure codes with ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS.
• Adhere to AHIMA standards and company ethics; maintain privacy rules.
