Qualifications

• Certified through AAPC or AHIMA (CPC/COC or CCS/CCS-P) is required.
• Minimum 2 years on-the-job coding experience.
• Must have reliable internet, phone, and access to CPT and ICD-10-CM references.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook; ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work from home and adhere to privacy and security standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10-CM coding for 1–4 specialties.
• Apply codes to the highest level of specificity.
• Interpret coding guidelines and ensure documentation supports codes.
• Maintain 95%+ productivity and quality scores; comply with ethics and privacy rules.
• Participate in company training and stay current with certification requirements.
