Job summary

CorroHealth, Inc. is seeking Coding Specialists to provide CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM/PCS coding across multiple specialties. This role supports our clients by delivering accurate coding services from a home-based setting.

Applicants must hold AAPC or AHIMA credentials, possess at least two years of coding experience, and have reliable internet access. Teaching-hospital experience is a plus, with strong attention to quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Certified through AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P) is required.
• Minimum 2 years of on-the-job coding experience.
• Experience at teaching hospital preferred.
• Must have reliable internet connection and a home-based work setup.

Responsibilities

• Team Member must be able to work from home and be independent in their coding skills.
• Provide various components of coding services to support our clients.
• Calculate ProFee and/or Facility E/M levels by using an algorithm created by our company.
• Recognize critical care cases by patient acuity.
• Code surgical procedures typical of an ER setting to capture additional revenue when appropriate.
• Apply ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes to the highest level of specificity available.
• Accurately apply diagnosis and procedure codes utilizing ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT®, and HCPCS
• Interpret coding guidelines for accurate code assignment
• Identify the importance of documentation on code assignment and the subsequent reimbursement impact.
