Great American Insurance Group is seeking a senior Underwriting Territory Manager for the East Coast, a remote role guiding a specialized cyber risk portfolio. You will lead a small underwriting team, deepen broker relationships, and drive profitable growth while ensuring underwriting discipline and regulatory compliance.

The position emphasizes collaboration across underwriting, claims, and risk management, with travel up to 50% to support broker engagement and business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in insurance, risk management, finance, or related field.
• Generally, 5+ years of Cyber underwriting experience preferred; candidates with substantial expertise in specialty Property & Casualty lines will also be considered.
• Generally, 2-4+ years of leadership experience with demonstrated success developing, coaching, and managing a high-performing underwriting team.
• Strong technical underwriting expertise with experience handling complex cyber risks and larger accounts.
• Established broker relationships and a demonstrated ability to generate opportunities through market engagement and business development activities.

Responsibilities

• Drive profitable new business production and territory expansion across the East Coast region.
• Lead, coach, and develop an underwriting team while fostering accountability, engagement, and high performance.
• Underwrite complex Cyber Risk accounts and provide technical guidance on challenging submissions and referrals.
• Execute underwriting strategies that support profitable growth, portfolio diversification, and market expansion.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with retail and wholesale brokers to identify and secure new business opportunities.
• Monitor portfolio performance, including rate adequacy, retention, loss trends, and exposure management, and recommend corrective actions when needed.
