Job summary

Great American Insurance Group is seeking an accomplished Underwriting Territory Manager for the Cyber Risk Division. This remote role on the East Coast leads a small underwriting team, expands broker partnerships, and drives profitable growth across the territory.

You will leverage deep cyber expertise to underwrite complex accounts, shape distribution strategies, and travel up to 50% to engage brokers and clients while maintaining underwriting discipline and strong market presence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in insurance, risk management, finance, or related field.
• Generally, 5+ years of Cyber underwriting experience preferred; candidates with substantial expertise in specialty Property & Casualty lines will be considered.
• Generally, 2-4+ years of leadership experience with high-performing underwriting teams.
• Strong technical underwriting expertise with complex cyber risks and larger accounts.

Responsibilities

• Drive profitable new business production and territory expansion across the East Coast region.
• Lead, coach, and develop an underwriting team while fostering accountability and high performance.
• Underwrite complex Cyber Risk accounts and provide guidance on submissions and referrals.
• Execute underwriting strategies that support profitable growth, portfolio diversification, and market expansion.
• Build and maintain relationships with retail and wholesale brokers to identify and secure opportunities.
• Monitor portfolio performance, rate adequacy, retention, and exposure management; recommend corrective actions.
