Great American Insurance Group is seeking an Underwriting Territory Manager to drive new business growth and lead a small underwriting team across the East Coast. This remote role emphasizes deep cyber expertise, broker relationships, and profitable portfolio expansion.

You will develop distribution partnerships and execute growth strategies while collaborating with underwriting, claims, and risk management. Significant travel supports broker engagement and client development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in insurance, risk management, finance, or related field.
• Generally, 5+ years of Cyber underwriting experience preferred; expertise in specialty Property & Casualty considered.
• Generally, 2-4+ years of leadership experience developing and managing underwriting teams.
• Strong technical underwriting expertise with complex cyber risks and larger accounts.
• Established broker relationships and ability to generate opportunities through market engagement.

Responsibilities

• Drive profitable new business production and territory expansion across the East Coast region.
• Lead, coach, and develop an underwriting team while fostering accountability and high performance.
• Underwrite complex Cyber Risk accounts and provide technical guidance on submissions.
• Execute underwriting strategies that support profitable growth and market expansion.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with retail and wholesale brokers to identify opportunities.
• Leverage market relationships to strengthen distribution partnerships and drive production results.
• Monitor portfolio performance including rate adequacy, retention, and loss trends; recommend actions.
• Ensure consistent application of underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze market conditions and cyber exposures to inform territory strategy.
• Represent the division at industry events and broker meetings to enhance visibility.
• Manage territory results and operating expenses in line with financial goals.
