Job summary

CVS Health Corporation, via Aetna Mental Well-being, seeks an experienced EAP Clinical Counselor to provide immediate, 24/7 mental health support to members nationwide. Remote work from the USA is offered, with shift variability and full-time commitments to ensure round-the-clock access.

The role requires a master’s in behavioral health counseling and an active, unrestricted license, plus crisis intervention experience and knowledge of care continuation.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of crisis intervention experience.
• Valid unrestricted independent behavioral health license per state regulations (e.g., LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LMHC, LCMHC, LICSW, LISW, Clinical Psychologist).
• 24x7x365 call center coverage is required.
• Experience facilitating positive behavior change.
• Experience handling mental health, psychiatric care, family situations and relationship concerns preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephone-based assessment, triage, consultation, counseling in a call center environment.
• Provide risk, substance abuse and mental health assessments to develop immediate safety plans.
• Advise on levels of care for appropriate referral based on assessment.
• Explain resources and connect members to mental health programs and services.
• Collaborate with team to ensure continuity of care and positive clinical outcomes.
• Multitask to document while assisting members during calls.
• Maintain confidentiality per policies and regulations.
• Maintain up-to-date licensure and professional development as required by state.
