Job summary

CVS Health Corporation, through Aetna Mental Wellbeing, is hiring a Clinical Counselor to provide 24/7 telephone-based mental health assessments and counseling in a nationwide remote setting. You will deliver urgent, stage-based support using motivational interviewing and evidence-based approaches to diverse members.

The role requires a Master’s in behavioral health, active licensure, and experience in crisis intervention and call-center operations.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of crisis intervention experience.
• Valid unrestricted independent behavioral health license to practice per state regulations.
• 24x7x365 call center coverage including holidays.
• Experience in facilitating patient behavioral change.
• Experience with mental health, psychiatric care, family situations and relationship concerns preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephone-based assessment, triage, consultation, counseling and information in a call center.
• Conduct risk, substance abuse and mental health assessments to develop immediate safety plans.
• Understand levels of care to aid in appropriate care recommendations.
• Communicate with members to explain mental health resources and linkage to services.
• Collaborate with a team to ensure continuity of care and positive outcomes.
• Maintain strict documentation and confidentiality while using multiple tools.
• Keep licensure current and pursue ongoing professional development.
