Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an EAP Clinical Counselor to deliver timely, 24/7 mental health support to members nationwide via video, chat, or phone. This fully remote role supports the Aetna Mental Wellbeing program and helps coordinate care with licensed professionals.

The position emphasizes crisis intervention, immediate safety planning, and resource linkage, with 40-hour weeks and shift flexibility to accommodate a 24/7 call center environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of crisis intervention experience.
• Valid unrestricted independent professional behavioral health clinical license to practice per state regulations in the state they reside in, e.g., LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LMHC, LCMHC, LICSW, LISW, Clinical Psychologist.
• 24x7x365 call center coverage needed, holiday coverage is expected.
• Experience in facilitating patient/client positive behavior change.
• Experience handling mental health, psychiatric care, family situations and relationship concerns preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provision of telephone-based assessment, triage, consultation, counseling and informational services in a call center environment.
• Provide risk, substance abuse and mental health assessments to develop immediate action/safety plans.
• Understand levels of care to aid in appropriate recommendation of care.
• Collaborate with members to understand needs and communicate resources for support.
• Coordinate with professionals to support positive clinical outcomes and continuity of care.
• Maintain confidentiality and documentation to meet risk management standards.
