Job summary

Western Veterinary Partners (WVP) is seeking a proactive DVM Recruiter to manage full-cycle recruitment for veterinary associates and medical directors across partner hospitals. This role is remote with up to 30% travel to hospitals and events, requiring experience in veterinary recruiting and Illinois market presence.

You will build candidate pipelines, partner with hospital leadership, and guide interview processes to closure while representing WVP’s values and partnerships.

Qualifications

• At least three years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including direct experience recruiting veterinarians.
• Understanding of the veterinary industry and hiring in competitive markets.
• Proven success sourcing passive candidates and managing multiple openings across markets.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Partner with operations leaders and hospital leadership to understand hiring priorities and opportunities.
• Develop and execute recruiting plans for assigned markets and adjust outreach based on urgency.
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing to onboarding handoffs.
• Assess candidates’ experience and fit with hospitals’ needs and WVP values.
• Guide hiring partners through interviews and maintain momentum toward hiring decisions.
• Proactively engage active and passive veterinarian candidates through direct outreach and networks.
• Build and maintain candidate pipelines for current openings and anticipated needs.
