Job summary

LifeNet Health is seeking a Donation Outreach Coordinator to educate and support donor families and coordinate referrals across partners. You will contact legal next of kin, guide compassionate discussions about donation, and maintain accurate documentation throughout the process.

The role emphasizes empathy, meticulous record-keeping, and collaboration with hospital partners, funeral homes, and eye banks to ensure a respectful and efficient donation process.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Associate Degree in Psychology, Social Science, Human Services, or Humanities
• 3 years (with High School Diploma/GED) experience working with families through counseling, bereavement and/or crisis intervention OR 1 year with Associate Degree - Experience with donation approach experience in an OPO/Tissue environment.

Responsibilities

• Donation and Grief Support: Engage families empathetically and advocate for donation via phone; complete required paperwork accurately.
• Donor Referrals and Donor Evaluation: Verify registry status, access EMR, evaluate potential donors, and coordinate with partners to ensure quality service.
• Triage and Escalations: Assess calls and messages, prioritize urgency, and route to appropriate team member.
