Job summary

Network for Hope (NFH) is seeking an DSSEC to assess and facilitate organ, tissue, and eye donation processes. The role involves evaluating potential donors, coordinating with hospital staff and tissue processors, and ensuring regulatory compliance across the donation workflow.

The DSSEC will conduct donor evaluations, provide expert guidance, and collaborate with internal teams to maintain documentation standards while supporting partners and callers according to approved procedures.

Qualifications

• Two+ years experience in an OPO or with tissue processing.
• Strong data entry, typing and telecom experience.
• Familiarity with healthcare terminology and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Back-up DSS staff to obtain and document patient information from partners; ensure referral information is communicated to stakeholders.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of potential tissue donors and document suitability criteria.
• Apply internal/external policies and standards relevant to donor suitability; build rapport with tissue processor staff.
• Provide ongoing education and training on donor evaluation procedures; assist in SOP updates.
• Mentor less experienced team members; participate in quality assurance initiatives.
