Job summary

LiveOnNY seeks a Hospital Services Specialist to lead collaboration with New York hospitals and transplant centers, aiming to improve organ and tissue donation outcomes within the DSA.

The role focuses on education, data analysis, and process improvement, coordinating with EMR teams and case management to reduce barriers and accelerate referrals while ensuring compliance with CMS and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a healthcare related field and at least three years of related healthcare experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and regulations.
• Must be proficient in Excel and PowerPoint and have strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work to decrease process barriers to donation and foster collaboration with hospital partners.
• Support real-time case management and document accurately in EMR.
• Analyze hospitals to maximize donor potential and identify best practices.
• Develop educational plans and deliver professional education to healthcare professionals.
• Establish multidisciplinary councils and engage physicians and leaders to standardize practices.
• Identify decision-makers to support donation processes and advocate for LiveOnNY services.
• Address service issues, coordinate follow-up, and perform timely service recovery.
• Recommend policy improvements to increase referrals and maintain hospital profiles.
