Job summary

TriWest Healthcare Alliance is seeking a Senior Buyer to lead procurements under FAR/DFARS, partnering with Finance and leadership to ensure compliant pricing and timely deliveries across federal contracts.

Qualified candidates will have 5+ years in procurement, strong negotiation and supplier-management skills, and US citizenship with a DoD background investigation. Remote opportunities available in many US states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• U.S. Citizen.
• Must pass DoD background investigation.
• 5+ years procurement experience with complex tasks.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with supplier relationship management.
• 10+ years handling complex procurement tasks (preferred).
• FAR/DFARS knowledge or experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document pricing to identify drivers and perform comparisons.
• Provide leadership with negotiating strategies and approvals.
• Negotiate lowest possible price with vendors and subcontractors.
• Document negotiations and pricing factors.
• Process solicitations, evaluations, and complex negotiations timely.
• Communicate with suppliers to obtain ROMs and quotes; track deliveries.
• Create and monitor purchase orders and SOWs for timely fulfillment.
• Research suppliers and market trends for cost savings.
• Ensure purchases meet FAR/DFARS and internal policies.
• Maintain records in procurement systems and support cross-functional needs.
• Assist in pricing and contract management with business units.
