TriWest Healthcare Alliance is seeking a Senior Buyer to lead procurements under FAR/DFARS, partnering with Finance and leadership to ensure compliant pricing and timely deliveries across federal contracts.

Under the direction of the Procurement Manager, the Senior Buyer is responsible for conducting procurements in accordance with internal policy, customer requirements, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), other U.S. Government agency acquisition rules and regulations and U.S. and state public laws and statutes. This individual is responsible for Market Pricing Research, Pricing Post Negotiation Memorandums, Pricing Proposal Evaluations, and other Procurement deliverables which are retained in accordance with Procurement Policy. Partner with Finance, business areas, and leadership to resolve questions associated with accruals, payables and budget. Act as SME in support of Procurement, Contract Management, DHA/ VA Contract Modification, Finance and business teams in support of pricing efforts including ROMs, RFIs/ RFPs, contracts, and licensing agreements.

Ability to function in a multi-system Microsoft environment using Word, Outlook, TriWest Intranet, the Internet, and department software applications.

Prioritize and manage actions to meet changing deadlines and requirements within a high volume, high stress environment.
Ability to organize people or tasks, adjust to priorities, learn systems, within time constraints and with available resources; detail-oriented.
Ability to solve problems through systematic analysis of processes with sound judgment; has a realistic understanding of relevant issues.
Knowledge of corporate policies and procedures; knowledge of contracting concepts and Federal Acquisition Regulations; analytical and communication skills.
