Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Principal Procurement Specialist for a remote US-based role. You will source and negotiate purchases, manage supplier relationships, and support strategic bids and agreements in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have a university degree with 5+ years of procurement experience, DoD FAR/DFARS knowledge, and a proven ability to operate virtually with minimal supervision while ensuring cost, schedule and quality targets are met.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent experience with 5+ years in procurement/supply chain.
• Experience placing high-complexity POs/subcontracts and handling high-volume orders.
• Experience in a virtual environment with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of price/cost analysis, source selection/justification.
• DoD procurement experience and FAR/DFARS knowledge; capable of PO actions over TINA thresholds.

Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, award and document purchases for materials and services.
• Analyze data to perform price analysis and support new business pursuits.
• Lead bid/proposal activities and apply best-value/Total Cost of Ownership methods.
• Coordinate with IPTs to understand technical challenges and provide buy options.
• Ensure requirements are communicated to suppliers and manage supplier performance.
• Interface with internal and supplier cross-functional teams.
• Support development of bids and agreements and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Conduct supplier negotiations (price, schedules, terms) and post-award management.
