Job summary

Avum Inc. is looking for a tech-savvy DoD Procurement Business Systems Subject Matter Expert to support acquisition and contracting activities. This fully remote role requires collaboration with software engineers to modernize procurement processes and bridge the gap between contracting and software development.

Qualifications

• Strong background in DoD/Federal procurement, acquisition, or contracting.
• Comfortable with technology and quick learner of new digital tools.
• Experience with federal contract automation systems from an end-user perspective.
• Solid knowledge of FAR and DFARS.
• Ability to explain complex government contracting concepts to non-experts.
• Must be U.S. citizen and able to obtain a government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Act as the 'Voice of the User' for software development teams.
• Translate complex federal procurement rules into clear software requirements.
• Collaborate with Agile product teams to document user stories.
• Assess and improve legacy contracting processes with engineers.
• Analyze procurement data and trends for insights.
• Create user guides and training materials for software solutions.
• Support data migration and contribute to service desk efforts.
