Job summary

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of progressive experience in procurement and strategic sourcing of supplies and services, with significant exposure to U.S. Government contracts strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in strategic sourcing, supplier qualification, and market research.
• Knowledge of FAR and DFAR procurement regulations is required.
• Familiarity with Costpoint (or similar govcon ERP systems) Procurement, Purchasing, and Material Management modules is highly preferred.
• Professional purchasing certification (CPM, CPSM, or equivalent) is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
• Experience with foreign supplier sourcing and procurements involving ITAR/EAR is a plus.
• Demonstrated skill in bid evaluation methods and techniques.
• Solid understanding of cross-functional supply chain duties (Accounting, Contracts, Program Management, Quality) required to effectively support both government and commercial requirements.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English proficiently.
• AI Experience and power automate/SharePoint development tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance of all procurement transactions with company policies and procedures, FAR/DFAR, and applicable laws.
• Conduct market research and strategic sourcing to identify lower-cost or higher-value goods and services.
• Identify, qualify, develop, and maintain a robust supplier base using progressive sourcing techniques.
• Stay current with market conditions, pricing trends, material availability, and regulatory changes affecting sourcing.
• Create, issue, manage, and reconcile purchase orders in the procurement system.
• Partner with Operations and program teams to forecast procurement needs and develop new supplier sources.
• Review and negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure best value.
• Monitor receipt and delivery of materials and services; resolve discrepancies.
• Expedite deliveries and obtain approvals for alternative sourcing as needed.
• Communicate professionally with suppliers and stakeholders.
• Recommend improvements to procurement policies and processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support total supply chain requirements.
• Maintain audit-ready procurement files and documentation.
• Conduct supplier evaluations, performance reviews, and scorecards.
• Prepare purchasing reports and metrics for leadership review.
