Job summary

Solid Rock Recruiting LLC is assisting a well-established Division 8 contractor in finding a skilled Division 8 Detailer for remote work in the U.S., with hybrid or on-site options in Austin or Dallas, TX.

The role centers on producing precise shop drawings, code-compliant detailing, and coordinating with PMs, architects, contractors, and vendors across healthcare, education, hospitality, and office projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial Division 8 detailing experience.
• COMSENSE proficiency is required.
• Experience detailing a broad range of commercial project types.
• Knowledge of building codes, life safety, and ADA standards.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate shop drawings and submittal packages using COMSENSE.
• Review architectural drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Develop complete door, frame, and hardware schedules.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, contractors, and vendors.
• Perform material takeoffs and verify project quantities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes and accessibility requirements.
• Manage revisions and maintain project documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members as needed.
