Job summary

Emerson Electric Co. in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Sales professional to grow a defined territory in the Factory Automation market.

The Industrial Automation District Sales Manager role is remote-based, covering Eastern Tennessee, Atlanta area, up through South Carolina, with travel up to 50% and a focus on pneumatic and electric motion control. You will lead sales execution, manage channel partners, forecast, and build a strong pipeline while showcasing Emerson's FLMC product portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industrial sales experience.
• Minimum 2 years of related sales experience.
• Technical proficiency to understand technical issues and troubleshoot problems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal & negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport, establish trust and close deals.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Word, Excel and Power Point.
• Customer Relationship Management (CRM) experience.
• The ability to successfully work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Willingness and ability to travel 50% with overnight travel days within the assigned territory.
• Valid U.S. driver's license.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans to exceed sales targets within the assigned territory for Factory Automation Market.
• Actively engage channel partners with a focus on sales and market share growth; hold them accountable to sales targets, activity levels, and joint business development plans.
• Prepare regular sales reports, including sales activity, customer feedback, and Factory Automation market trends analysis.
• Deep understanding of pneumatic and/or electric motion control technology; conduct product presentations and demonstrations to customers.
