Job summary

Emerson Electric Co. seeks a remote-based Industrial Automation District Sales Manager to cover an established territory across Eastern Tennessee, Atlanta area, and up through South Carolina.

You will lead sales execution, manage channel partners, and deliver solutions in pneumatic and electric motion control within Factory Automation markets. The role requires a minimum of 2 years’ sales experience, a technical aptitude, and the ability to travel 50% with overnight travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industrial sales experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of related sales experience.
• Technical proficiency with the ability to understand technical issues and troubleshoot problems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal & negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport, establish trust and close deals.
• Willingness and ability to travel 50% with overnight and extended travel days within the assigned territory.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.

Responsibilities

• Sales Execution: Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans to exceed sales targets within the assigned territory for Factory Automation Market.
• Sales Execution: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities and market trends to drive revenue growth.
• Sales Execution: Build and maintain a sales pipeline with a focus on new customer acquisition, opportunity creation and closure.
• Sales Execution: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay ahead of the competition.
• Customer Relationship Management: Engage channel partners to grow sales and market share; hold them accountable to targets.
• Customer Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with key customers and understand their needs to provide technical solutions.
• Sales Reporting and Forecasting: Prepare regular sales reports and provide accurate forecasts; participate in budgeting.
• Industry Knowledge and Product Expertise: Deep understanding of pneumatic and/or electric motion control technology; stay current with industry trends.
• Product Presentations: Conduct product demonstrations to showcase Emerson’s FLMC portfolio.

Education
