Job summary

Sun Gro Horticulture is seeking a District Sales Manager to plan, organize, and control the total selling effort within the assigned territory. You will work to achieve area sales budgets, ensure distribution objectives, and develop plans for distributor and account success.

The role offers a base salary of $70,000–$80,000 with a sales bonus structure and company vehicle. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life, 401k match, paid vacation, and more.

Qualifications

• Education in horticulture or equivalent experience preferred.
• Passion for horticulture with lawn/garden retail experience.
• Horticulture Certification is a plus.
• Travel willingness to cover territory.

Responsibilities

• Deliver sales according to approved sales and marketing plans.
• Achieve new account and distribution objectives as assigned.
• Canvas the market to gain insight and adjust to changing conditions.
• Maintain CRM data with sales activities and notes.
• Maintain a profile of the territory to understand competitors and customers.
• Communicate with supervisors and cross-functional teams about territory factors.
