Job summary

Amgen's District Sales Manager role oversees a multi-district area including Los Angeles, Long Beach, Anaheim, Riverside, and Santa Ana. Qualifications

• Three or more years of specialty sales experience.
• Experience in biologics.
• Buy and bill model experience.
• Ability to recognize and promote success behaviors and coach others.
• Leverage market and customer knowledge to target messages and resources.
• Knowledge of local payor coverage.
• Ability to articulate clinical concepts, data and conclusions.
• Ability to recruit candidates meeting job criteria.
• Interviews and hires sales reps who are capable and committed.
• Strong sense of responsibility and self-discipline.

Responsibilities

• Track progress of marketing messages and programs.
• Provide feedback to district teams on marketing, allocation and resources.
• Manage district teams to maximize performance and meet sales and budget targets.
• Screen, interview, and hire candidates.
• Ensure compliance with training.
• Provide coaching for development.
• Conduct annual and ongoing performance reviews.
• Coordinate with district and cross-functional teams (Marketing, Finance, other BUs).
• Share best practices with direct reports and peers.
• Coordinate/participate in cluster teams.
• Lead district sales meetings to guide districts.
• Develop local Opinion Leader relationships to meet objectives.
