Job summary

Amgen is seeking a District Sales Manager to act as the primary liaison to medical professionals, delivering clinical knowledge of Amgen products. You will guide district teams, coordinate with Marketing, Finance, and other units, and drive actionable plans to meet sales and budget targets.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree and 2 years of Sales/Marketing experience
• OR Master’s degree and 6 years of Sales/Marketing experience
• OR Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of Sales/Marketing experience
• OR Associate’s degree and 10 years of Sales/Marketing experience AND 2 years of managerial experience directly managing people

Responsibilities

• Track the progress of marketing messages and programs
• Provide feedback to district teams on the marketing, allocating, monitoring, and leveraging of internal and external resources
• Manage district teams to maximize their performance and help achieve/exceed sales and budget targets
• Screen, interview, and hire candidates
• Ensure compliance with training
• Demonstrate coaching and development to prepare individuals for future roles
• Conduct annual performance reviews and competency assessments
• Coordinate with district and cross-functional teams to share best practices and align objectives
