Job summary

The State of Florida, Department of Revenue, seeks a Distributed Computer Systems Analyst to provide desktop and network support for local area network users. You will analyze and coordinate resolutions to hardware, software, and network problems and assist in planning office network layouts.

Responsibilities include evaluating performance, researching improvements, maintaining inventory, and training peers. This role offers part-time telework after training and requires travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience communicating verbally and/or in writing with end users.
• Two years of experience supporting/troubleshooting Microsoft Office.
• Two years deploying, supporting, maintaining, or troubleshooting computer hardware/software.
• Associate degree or higher or A+/Network+ certification substitutes on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and coordinating resolution of hardware, software, and network problems.
• Assisting with planning and designing of office network layouts.
• Evaluating the effectiveness of hardware, software, and communication performance.
• Researching and recommending improvements and solutions.
• Installing and maintaining an inventory of computers and electronic equipment.
• Providing training and support to peers and other teams.
