The State of Florida, Department of Revenue, seeks a Distributed Computer Systems Analyst to provide desktop and network support for local area network users. You will analyze and coordinate resolutions to hardware, software, and network problems and assist in planning office network layouts.

Responsibilities include evaluating performance, researching improvements, maintaining inventory, and training peers. This role offers part-time telework after training and requires travel as needed.

JOB SUMMARY:

This position performs desktop and network support to local area network users and is an excellent fit for self-motivated critical thinkers. If you enjoy working with technology and problem solving, this may be the position for you. Your duties would include:

• Analyzing and coordinating resolution of hardware, software, and network communication problems
• Assisting with planning and designing of office network layouts

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience communicating verbally and/or in writing, guiding end users through computer related inquiries.
• Two years of experience with supporting and troubleshooting Microsoft Office *
• Two years of work-related experience deploying, supporting, and maintaining, or troubleshooting computer hardware/software.*
• Two years of work-related experience troubleshooting and handling Microsoft Windows operating systems in an office environment.*

SUBSTITUTIONS:

• Associate or higher degree in any Computer related field or a current A+ or network+ certification can substitute for the following minimum requirements on a year for year basis.

SPECIAL NOTES:

• This position requires the ability to install and maintain computer equipment with the ability to bend, stoop and kneel in awkward positions and lift up to 50 pounds, with or without accommodations.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• This position is part-time telework eligible after training and an acceptable level of proficiency is reached.

SALARY: $42,561.60 - $57,666.00.
