Job summary

The Distributed Computer Systems Analyst position within the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles' Desktop Operations team provides first and second-tier technical support, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for statewide desktops, laptops, peripherals, and related infrastructure.

This role reports to the Desktop Operations Manager and supports Windows environments across the agency.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting Windows OS and Office applications.
• Knowledge of SCCM and desktop deployment solutions.
• Ability to troubleshoot remotely and resolve incidents.
• Experience with Active Directory and data protection/encryption solutions.
• IT service desk experience with MS Office support.
• Experience with Windows 10+ and hardware/configuration repairs.

Job description

The Distributed Computer Systems Analyst supports distributed computing operations within the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles' Desktop Operations team. This position reports to the Desktop Operations Manager and provides first and second-tier technical support, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for the department's desktop and laptop systems, peripherals, and related infrastructure. The role involves both local and remote system administration, including hardware configuration, software deployment, and Windows environment support across the statewide workforce.

Key qualifications

• Support for Windows Operating Systems and desktop productivity applications including Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and enterprise desktop deployment solutions
• Ability to remotely troubleshoot and resolve technical incidents
• Experience with Active Directory and enterprise data protection/encryption solutions
• IT service desk or help desk experience with MS Office support
• Experience with Windows 10 or higher and hardware/configuration repairs
