Job summary

The Florida Department of Health seeks a DISTRIBUTED COMPUTER SYSTEMS ANALYST to support and maintain computer and network systems at the County Health Department. Travel up to 50% will be required.

The role focuses on Tier 1-2 technical support, system installation, and data processing for distributed systems. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience with distributed processing operations, and the ability to work both independently and in teams.

Qualifications

• English fluency required for all Florida Department of Health roles.
• At least 1 year of experience in computer hardware troubleshooting and repair (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license (preferred).
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide tier 1 and 2 technical support on-site or by phone/email.
• Install and implement distributed computer systems hardware, software, and communication.
• Monitor IT assets faults/issues and resolve them to ensure uptime.
• Conduct monthly on-site reviews of distributed computer systems and update data as needed.
• Create purchase orders in My Florida Market Place and track through approval to invoicing.
