Job summary

Blue Ridge Communications is seeking a reliable Dispatcher to handle service call dispatching, verify work orders for accuracy, and assist field technicians with changes, pricing and equipment needs. During training, work will be in the office; after training, working from home may be an option.

Additional duties include filing completed work orders, contacting customers about trouble shooting and scheduling, monitoring system outages, and keeping crews informed.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED
• Established residency in Pennsylvania
• Reliable transportation
• Previous experience working in a dispatch environment preferred
• Familiarity with the local area helpful
• Computer proficiency using the internet and Microsoft Office programs - Outlook Email, Word and Excel
• Excellent Communication Skills - Oral and Written
• Excellent Organizational Skills
• Excellent Time Management Skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast paced environment

Responsibilities

• Dispatch service calls and verify work orders for accuracy
• Assist Field Technicians with changes, pricing and special equipment needs
• File completed work orders
• Contact customers when troubleshooting and/or scheduling work needs to be done
• Monitor system outages
• Keep Field Technicians informed of system problems
• Other duties as assigned
