Job summary

Engineering Excellence National Account seeks a skilled Dispatcher to coordinate daily scheduling and dispatch field technicians to job sites. You will serve as the primary contact between customers and field staff, prioritizing jobs by urgency and availability.

The ideal candidate has strong multitasking abilities, excellent customer service, and experience with dispatching software. High school diploma required; 1 year in dispatch or coordinating environment preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 1-year experience in dispatch or coordinating environment.
• Experience with computers and related systems in an administrative office environment.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Excellent customer-service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate with customers and co-workers in a pleasant, professional manner.
• Knowledge of HVAC/Refrigeration industry is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls from customers and route or assist to the appropriate person.
• Receive and prioritize service requests; document details and location.
• Utilize dispatching software to schedule and assign field technicians based on availability and priority.
• Monitor technicians' schedules and progress; adjust assignments to maximize productivity.
• Act as the main contact between customers and field staff; provide updates on arrival times and service status.
• Maintain customer records and update account information; update capacity planner for bookings, reschedules, or cancellations.
• Adhere to compliance regulations when taking payments over the phone.
