Job summary

Don’s Appliances is seeking a Dispatch Specialist to manage scheduling and dispatch of drivers and equipment, ensuring on-time delivery across the Pittsburgh region. You will handle inquiries, coordinate with crews and customers, and maintain clear communications to resolve issues promptly.

The role requires strong multitasking, solid knowledge of local geography, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, dispatch software, CRM systems, and mapping tools.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional phone demeanor.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, dispatch software, CRM systems, and mapping/GPS tools.
• Strong geographical familiarity with Pittsburgh, PA and tri-state area.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple communication channels (phone, radio, data entry).

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch drivers, work crews, vehicles, or equipment to appropriate locations according to predetermined schedules or immediate needs.
• Relay information such as work orders or messages to and from crews, supervisors or other personnel.
• Use phones or text messages to contact employees or emergency personnel.
• Communicate with supervisors or customers to resolve problems or requests for service or equipment.
• Prepare daily schedules and work orders and maintain related records.
• Maintain communications within company assigned territories and organize work requests and charges.
