Central-Research seeks a Customer Service Rep 1 (Remote) to support FEMA call center operations. You will handle disaster-related inquiries, record information in FEMA systems, and provide referrals to assistance programs. The role emphasizes accuracy, empathy, and adherence to scripted processes.

Full-time clerical work in Augusta, GA area with remote work option where permitted. Prior call-center experience and ability to work in a high-volume environment are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Able to follow scripted instructions and policies.
• Experience in high-volume call/contact centers preferred.
• Must pass background investigation and FEMA training.

Responsibilities

• Serve as direct point of contact for disaster survivors and callers seeking federal assistance.
• Listen actively and determine caller needs using approved scripts.
• Enter caller information accurately into FEMA-approved systems.
• Perform Registration Intake, Basic Helpline, TSA duties as assigned.
• Provide referrals to disaster assistance providers.
• Attend pre-shift meetings and stay current on priorities and procedures.
• Follow FEMA scripts, SOPs and supervisor directions.
• Maintain availability to receive calls during production periods.
