Job summary

Reliance Matrix is seeking a Workforce Accommodations Specialist to collaborate with employees, healthcare providers, and employers. You will review medical information, manage accommodation requests, and guide the interactive process to ensure essential functions are met with or without accommodations.

Key tasks include handling a caseload, engaging with medical vendors, and staying current on ADA, PWFA, and FMLA regulations while educating HR and employees on complex return-to-work processes.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Human Resource Management, Vocational Rehabilitation, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience administering the interactive process for workplace accommodations.
• Familiarity with ADA, FMLA and related state regulations.
• Ability to review medical documentation and engage in interactive process with employees and supervisors.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work independently and manage caseloads.

Responsibilities

• Conduct confidential assessments of accommodation requests and engage in an interactive process.
• Serve as primary contact for employees with disabilities and guide accommodation requests.
• Manage a caseload of open accommodation requests.
• Facilitate the interactive process between employee and employer to determine effective accommodations.
• Engage with medical vendors to clarify accommodation requests.
• Review essential job functions and employee restrictions to confirm feasibility with accommodations.
• Stay current on ADA, PWFA, FMLA and related laws and regulations.
• Educate employees and HR on return-to-work, accommodations, and complex processes.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA-compliant documentation.
• Collaborate with team, clients, and management to identify improvements.
