Job summary

Rang is expanding into Texas and seeks a Director of Texas Schools to own the market from day one. You will lead the initial 5,000-student DFW cohort, drive attendance improvements, and build strong partnerships with school districts and local stakeholders.

The role emphasizes relationship-building, entrepreneurship, and ability to operate with ambiguity, shaping a scalable model for future growth in Texas education.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or leading in a K-12 public or public charter school is preferred.
• Deep ties to the Texas education landscape.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort building in ambiguity and ownership.
• Exceptional relationship-builder able to earn trust of educators and school leaders.
• Strong analytical instincts and data-driven in understanding outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own school outcomes with attendance improvement as the north star.
• Serve as primary point of contact for Texas schools throughout the year.
• Ensure schools are set up for success from onboarding through year-end.
• Monitor attendance and engagement data; troubleshoot and identify needs.
• Work with school leaders to strengthen implementation when off track.
• Gather feedback from students, families, and educators to improve the program.
• Build the case for renewal with measurable impact.
