Job summary

Tempus is seeking a Director, Data Solutions – RWE & Insights in California. The role blends hands-on analysis with team leadership, driving real-world evidence projects for pharma and biotech partners.

You will design and execute analyses using Tempus multimodal data, mentor junior scientists, and contribute to scientific strategy and revenue growth. A strong oncology and computational background is required.

Qualifications

• PhD, MD, or equivalent advanced degree combining quantitative or computational training with biological/medical knowledge.
• Hands-on proficiency in R, including statistical and visualization tooling.
• Experience in oncology and real-world evidence within translational/clinical development.

Responsibilities

• Design analyses and scoping studies for pharma/biotech partnerships.
• Lead and mentor scientific teams delivering client-facing study results.
• Define study design, endpoints, and statistical methods for real-world evidence projects.
• Present findings to R&D and clinical teams; contribute to publications and conferences.
• Build scalable scientific workflows to support multiple partner accounts.
