Job summary

Tempus AI is seeking a Director of Data Solutions – RWE & Insights to lead scientific strategy for pharma/biotech partnerships. You will design analyses and lead a team of scientists, delivering insights across Tempus’ multimodal real-world data portfolio.

You will stay hands-on with analyses, mentor junior scientists, and drive data-driven solutions for priority opportunities in oncology and translational research. Remote flexibility is available with ~20% travel.

Qualifications

• PhD, MD, or equivalent with quantitative training and biology knowledge.
• Experience in oncology and real-world evidence methods.
• Proven client-facing and publication track record.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior scientific advisor translating client questions into analyses.
• Design and execute proof-of-value analyses and feasibility studies.
• Define study design, endpoints, and data requirements for projects.
• Review scopes and deliverables ensuring methodological rigor.
• Present findings to R&D and clinical teams; contribute to publications.
• Stay updated on oncology, RWE, and AI/multimodal modeling.
• Collaborate with product and data teams to shape data product roadmap.
• Travel ~20% domestically and internationally.
