Job summary

Legion Technologies is hiring a Director of Production Engineering to lead globally distributed DevOps/SRE teams responsible for efficiency, reliability, and security of the production stack hosted on AWS. The role combines hands-on architecture with strategic roadmapping and cross-team execution.

You will drive IaC, CI/CD, and tooling, partner with engineering and IT to meet security and compliance standards, and guide incident response and postmortems.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years in DevOps, SRE, or production infra roles with people management experience.
• Deep hands-on AWS production experience (EKS, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, S3).
• Experience running SecOps (vulnerability management, incident response, remediation).
• 5+ years using observability platforms (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).

Responsibilities

• Hire and lead a globally distributed DevOps/SRE team.
• Own reliability and infra roadmap for AWS-based production, including EKS and RDS.
• Lead SecOps practices to detect and remediate security issues.
• Define and track engineering OKRs for infra reliability, automation, and security.
• Champion observability and automated incident response (Datadog).
• Drive Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, and automation to boost velocity.
• Ensure alignment on infra standards, access controls, and compliance.
