Job summary

jrni is seeking a Director of DevOps, Security & IT to own the platform's build, run, and protection. You will oversee DevOps, security, and IT with a direct line to the CTO, leading three connected functions across AWS/GCP, automation, and compliance.

You’ll drive production SaaS infrastructure, security programs (ISO 27001, SOC 2), and AI governance while building resilient teams and strong customer trust in a fully remote US role.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading DevOps, platform, or infrastructure engineering for production SaaS at scale.
• Operating production SaaS infrastructure on AWS and GCP with infrastructure-as-code and automation.
• Experience with SRE practices — monitoring, observability, reliability, and incident response.
• Leading SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 audits end-to-end.
• Hands-on with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners, and CSPM platforms.
• Clear executive communication — Board, customers, and auditors.
• Bachelor's in CS, Engineering, or related field or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Own and optimize production cloud infrastructure for scale, reliability, performance, and cost.
• Lead infrastructure-as-code and automation to streamline workflows and remove toil.
• Own monitoring, alerting, and observability so issues are caught and resolved proactively.
• Implement and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Lead vulnerability management, patching, and hardening across the estate.
• Coordinate breach notification with Legal and the DPO where applicable.
• Own security and operational incident response; run tabletop exercises; act as incident commander for Sev-1/Sev-2 events.
