Legion Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Director of Engineering, DevOps & SRE to lead globally distributed teams responsible for reliability, security, and scalable production infrastructure.

The role blends hands-on architecture with strategic roadmapping and cross-team execution. You will drive AWS-based operations (EKS, RDS), implement IaC/CI‑CD, oversee SecOps, and champion observability while guiding incident response and post‑mortem improvements.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years in DevOps, SRE, or production infra with people mgmt experience.
• Deep hands-on AWS experience (EKS, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, S3).
• Experience running SecOps (vulnerability mgmt, incident response).
• 5+ years with observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Strong IaC and CI/CD automation experience.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or Bash with Git and test automation.
• Collaborative cross-functional leadership to align infra, tooling, and security standards.
• Experience leading incident management and on‑call practices for high-availability systems.
• Bachelor’s in CS/Engineering; Master’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a globally distributed DevOps/SRE team.
• Own reliability and infra roadmap for AWS-based production; ensure HA and cost efficiency.
• Lead SecOps: vulnerability management, incident response, remediation.
• Define and drive engineering OKRs for reliability, automation, and security.
• Champion observability and automation to reduce MTTR.
• Oversee Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, and automation to accelerate velocity.
• Align infra standards, access controls, tooling, and compliance.
• Ensure platform security, data protection, and audit-readiness.
• Lead on‑call rotation and incident management with SRE and dev teams.
