Job summary

Ash Grove Cement Company is seeking a Director of Operations to lead manufacturing across multiple harvesting sites. The role involves coaching site managers, managing multi-site P&L, and ensuring safety, quality, and delivery targets while aligning with company strategy.

The position is remote with 50-75% travel to plants in Lakeview OR, Oak Grove TX, Tooele UT, Coal Creek ND. Ideal candidates have engineering/technical background and proven leadership in lean operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required (engineering or technical field).
• 2–5 years of plant management or similar leadership experience.
• Strong communication, coaching, and development skills.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Ensure profitability, safety, quality, productivity across multiple sites.
• Lead lean manufacturing deployment and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Develop harvesting plant leadership through coaching and training.
• Coordinate with area marketing to meet demand and adapt to changes.
• Oversee inventory, staffing plans, and capital investment strategies.
