Job summary

Blattner seeks a Director of Construction to lead and mentor the gas power generation team across assigned markets and projects. You will enforce best practices, manage safety and quality programs, and ensure projects are on schedule and within budget.

The role can be remote in the U.S. with regular travel; you will build client alliances and lead cross-functional teams to drive project success and company growth.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
• Five+ years of directly relevant experience with utility-scale natural gas power generation or heavy industrial EPC execution.
• Strong understanding of construction engineering/design concepts.
• Understanding of electrical construction and power delivery.
• Ability to develop thorough work plans and management schedules.
• Knowledge of estimating strategies and techniques.
• Knowledge of construction contracts, regulations and cost control systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership to organize and motivate teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead client relationships and ensure value delivery.
• Direct project managers and on-site teams to meet schedule and budget.
• Develop safety and quality programs and culture on projects.
• Oversee financial aspects including budget, cash flow and cost-to-completes.
• Mentor and develop subordinate project managers and build a strong team.
• Collaborate with superintendents and peers to select project teams.
