Job summary

Humana Inc. seeks a Director of Event Strategy & Experience to own enterprise event strategy and portfolio, leading a team of experienced planners and advising senior executives. The role translates business objectives into high-impact experiences, governs operations, negotiates contracts, and oversees budgets.

The candidate will drive end-to-end event execution across leadership meetings, conferences, and customer events, focusing on ROI and cross-functional alignment. Remote within the U.S.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate events, experiential marketing, meetings, or related field.
• Experience leading enterprise-scale events and executive experiences, including C-suite meetings, leadership conferences, customer events, and major corporate gatherings.
• Strong financial and operational management experience, including ownership of substantial budgets, vendor and agency management, contract negotiation, risk management, and demonstrating business impact.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior executives to translate strategic priorities into leadership meetings, conferences, employee experiences, customer events, and programs.
• Lead end-to-end event execution across a complex portfolio, including strategy, planning, production, logistics, onsite execution, post-event evaluation, and continuous improvement.
• Build and lead a high-performing team of event planners with vision, priorities, and standards, developing talent and accountability.
• Own significant event budgets and financial performance, including forecasting, expenditures, and cost optimization.
• Lead cross-functional governance bringing together communications, business units, executive offices, legal, procurement, accounting, IT, AV, security, and others around shared objectives.
• Manage strategic agency, vendor, venue, and production partnerships with contract negotiation and accountability.
• Establish performance measurement and analytics to evaluate event effectiveness and ROI.
• Ensure on-brand, risk-managed experiences with contingency plans for potential issues.
