Job summary

Crawford & Company is seeking a compassionate, strategic leader to guide our disability and absence management programs across multiple claim teams. You’ll support STD, FMLA/Absence, Paid Leaves, LTD, and integrated programs, ensuring exceptional service and strong client relationships.

You will build high-performing teams, manage budgets, and partner with executive leadership to drive P&L results. This remote role empowers you to lead from anywhere while shaping IDAM best practices company-wide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
• Eight years progressive experience in managing integrated disability and absence management programs
• Six years in a supervisory or leadership capacity
• Expertise with IDAM best practice benchmarking and metrics
• Demonstrated ability to establish critical relationships at all levels of the organization and with external partners
• Exceptional communication skills, change management skills, and customer focus
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills
• Experience building high performance teams - inspire a shared vision and empower a team
• Desired: Certifications in related fields (e.g., CDMS, CCM)

Responsibilities

• Facilitates implementation, improvement and integration of all disability and absence management programs within the unit
• Provides proactive leadership to develop a continuous improvement culture
• Manages, hires, trains, develops and motivates qualified individuals
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of industry trends in IDAM
• Manages budget to meet revenue objectives
• Communicates P&L performance to executive management
• Prepares budget forecasts and re-forecasts
• Collaborates with analytics to monitor key metrics and day-to-day efficiency
• Participates in sales presentations and meetings with prospects and accounts
• May participate in appeals process
• Performs other related duties as required
