Job summary

GAF is seeking a Director of Automation and Control Systems to oversee the Automation & Controls team, align with engineering and manufacturing optimization initiatives, and drive continuous support to production facilities. You will lead strategic capital planning and foster cross-functional collaboration, ensuring safety and high standards across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• Minimum 10+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Experience leading Automation & Controls projects across multiple locations.
• Proven leadership experience, direct or indirect.
• Proven relationship-building and partnerships development.
• Working knowledge of CAD, HMI, PLCs, G-Suite, and advanced diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage all functions of Automation and Controls group.
• Contribute to 3 & 5 year capital plans for manufacturing facilities.
• Collaborate with IT, Process Services, Corporate Engineering, and R&D for integration.
• Manage capital projects and budgets for Automation & Controls.
• Oversee software identification and implementation for Automation & Controls.
