Job summary

GAF is seeking a Director of Automation and Control Systems to guide the Automation & Controls team. You will work with engineering to drive innovation, align with capital plans, and provide strong cross-functional coordination across facilities.

Role includes overseeing financials, maintaining controls standards, and promoting safety culture while delivering impactful manufacturing improvements for GAF's facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
• 10+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Experience leading Automation & Controls projects across multiple locations.
• Proven leadership and partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Lead all functions of Automation and Controls group.
• Contribute to 3–5 year capital plans.
• Collaborate with IT, Process Services, R&D and others to integrate automation.
• Oversee budgeting and financial reporting for the team.
• Ensure documentation and standards for controls systems.
• Promote safety and continuous improvement across sites.
• Mentor the team and engage with customers and vendors.
