GAF is seeking a Director of Automation and Controls to guide the Automation & Controls team across multiple facilities. You will collaborate with engineering to drive innovation and support production operations, while aligning with capital planning and cross-functional initiatives.

The role requires a strong engineering background, 10+ years in manufacturing, and proven leadership across projects and teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required.
• 10+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Experience leading Automation & Controls projects across multiple locations.
• Proven experience leading a team, directly or indirectly.
• Proven relationship-building and partnership skills.
• Working knowledge of CAD, HMI development, PLCs, G-Suite, diagnostics tools.

Responsabilités

• Oversee all functions of Automation and Controls group.
• Contribute to 3- and 5-year capital plans for manufacturing facilities.
• Collaborate with IT, Process Services, Corporate Engineering, and other groups to integrate Automation and Controls into GAF and Standard Industries.
• Manage all financial responsibilities of the Automation and Controls team (capital projects, budgeting, reporting).
• Guide software implementation within the team and ensure documentation is up to date.
• Provide leadership and foster a collaborative, customer-focused environment.
